Chris Lara– Chicago DJ and Curator of House and Hip-Hop Excellence
Chris Lara is a Chicago DJ whose versatile sets have graced a wide array of events and venues across the city, including iconic venues and events like Smartbar and Brunchski, where he has showcased the best of House Music.

Chris is a proud member of DMC Entertainment, where he co-hosts monthly House Music events that celebrate the genre’s rich history while connecting Chicagoans to its evolving future. He is a member of DaBooth312 Radio, broadcasting weekly on 88.9FM WIIT. Chris is also a key member of SoulJack Digital, a Chicago-based record label and DJ collective. As the founder and host of the Chicago House Scene Radio Show, Chris shares inspirational stories from Chicago DJs and producers such as Shmoo and DSC, bridging the community through music and storytelling. Chris is the former co-chair of House of Sol, the House Music DJ stage at the annual Fiesta del Sol — the largest Latino festival in the Midwest.

Most recently, Chris took his passion for House Music international, DJing at Mi Casa Holiday in Cuba. This milestone performance in a tropical paradise cemented his reputation as a globally recognized artist, bringing the soulful sounds of Chicago House to an international stage.

Growing up in Chicago’s vibrant Pilsen neighborhood, Chris was immersed in music from an early age, collecting DJ mixtapes that featured the pioneering sounds of Farley Jackmaster Funk, Frankie Knuckles, Cajmere, DJ Sneak, CZR, Chip E., Paul Johnson, and more. Inspired by these trailblazers, Chris turned his private hobby into a dynamic musical journey. With a deep love for House and Hip-Hop, his sets reflect a commitment to uniting music lovers across generations and genres.
